OCEAN NESS TO PROJECT MASTER
Built in Norway in 2001, Ocean Ness served as a
Standby Rescue and Support vessel. She arrived at
the ICON Shipyard to undergo an incredible
transformation and will emerge as the luxury
explorer Master.
MASTER was born with the vision to be the most capable explorer yacht on the planet, capable of ultimate exploration in total luxury. Reborn from a historical offshore rescue and standby vessel, and designed by Espen Øino, she is ready to be a true world traveller, creating unforgettable memories in the most remote places on earth.
Project MASTER will be equipped with state of the art diesel electric pod propulsion to exceed the highest environmental standards. Thereby, this future-proof system is already in compliance with the upcoming TIER IV regulation and reduces emissions to a bare minimum.
Four highly efficient generators produce electricity, enabling the vessel to travel vast distances of up to +9000nm at a comfortable 10kn cruising speed. Her optional retractable bow thruster is the perfect addition for silent DP operations as well as a safety “get home” option.
Project MASTER will offer opportunities for marine research, education, and conservation, aiming to raise awareness about the challenges our oceans confront.
Expect nothing more than the most spectacular views to the ocean from the main saloon/dining where floorto-ceiling windows make sure nobody misses a moment of adventure on board MASTER. Twelve guests will be accommodated across six impressive en-suite cabins: two VIP suites and three twin cabins.
Three decks above Main Deck an impressive master stateroom of 135 m² takes centre stage. With full height windows and unobstructed panoramas, breath-taking outlooks are guaranteed morning and night. A high level of craftsmanship combined with an elegant, modern style will provide all those sailing on MASTER with relaxing, comfortable surroundings.
