RAFALE: TURQUOISE YACHTS' MOST AMBITIOUS PROJECT YET

81 metres, three pools, hybrid propulsion and a sculptural design that commands attention without shouting. Project Rafale is one of the most compelling new builds currently under construction.

Defined by flowing, dynamic lines penned by H2 Yacht Design, Rafale is a yacht that exudes power even when still. Unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2025, the 81.3-metre project represents a significant step forward for Turkish yard Turquoise Yachts — and one of the most considered new build programmes currently under construction anywhere in the world.

Delivery is scheduled for 2028. For buyers considering a new build in this size range, the window to engage is now.

The design

Rafale's exterior has sweeping, dynamic lines that flow from bow to stern in a continuous sheer, creating an undulating profile that emphasises her graceful five-deck form. Reverse chamfering across the superstructure introduces a subtle architectural sharpness, where concave white surfaces replace traditional outward curves, giving Rafale a sculpted, contemporary presence while maintaining a classic sense of proportion.

Her hull is finished in a deep steel-blue tone that contrasts with the crisp white of the superstructure, creating a strong, layered look. Seamless glazing wraps each level, lending a sense of lightness to her profile while framing uninterrupted views throughout.

outdoor living

The exterior spaces are tiered and thoughtfully arranged, featuring a water-level beach club with openings on three sides, three pools located on the main, owner and sundecks, and a mix of shaded and open-air zones for dining, entertaining and lounging. The formal dining arrangement seats 16 guests, a meaningful detail for owners who entertain at scale. The beach club, positioned at water level between two cascading stairways, creates a seamless connection between the yacht and the sea that is one of the defining features of the layout.

Owner's quarters

The owner's suite features a private office, his and hers dressing rooms and bathrooms, and direct access to a private terrace and pool forward. This level of separation, a self-contained apartment within the yacht, is the standard buyers at this size expect, and Rafale delivers it without compromise. Six further guest cabins complete the accommodation, with the yacht carrying up to 14 guests in total.

Propulsion and performance

Rafale's hybrid propulsion system combines twin MTU 12V4000 M65L engines with a 1,920 kWh battery capacity, offering improved efficiency and reduced emissions without compromising performance. Top speed is 17 knots.

The battery capacity here is substantial, among the largest fitted to a superyacht in this size range. It enables meaningful periods of silent electric cruising, which changes the quality of life at anchor considerably. For owners increasingly conscious of environmental credentials, it also provides a genuine answer to questions about emissions without requiring any sacrifice in capability.

our view

Rafale represents a complete visual rethink of Turquoise's proven 80m platform, intended to deliver a more classically inspired big-yacht silhouette while retaining a contemporary edge. For a yard that has built its reputation on considered engineering and delivery reliability, this is an ambitious but well-grounded project.

H2 Yacht Design's philosophy, to create yachts that are not defined by a single style, but by their ability to reflect each owner's individuality, is well matched to Turquoise's approach. The result is a new build that offers genuine personalisation within a proven structural programme.

With delivery in 2028 and construction already underway, the timeline is defined. If this project is of interest, we are happy to discuss what engagement at this stage looks like.
