Baglietto
The Baglietto shipyard is one of Italy’s oldest and most prestigious yacht builders, founded in 1854 in Varazze. Renowned for its craftsmanship and innovation, Baglietto has played a significant role in the evolution of luxury yachting, producing both military vessels and high-end motor yachts. Today, with its main facilities in La Spezia, the shipyard is especially known for its sleek, modern designs, aluminium superyachts, and commitment to combining traditional Italian expertise with advanced technology.
RYI is closely collaborating with Baglietto on new build projects, working hand in hand with clients from concept to delivery to bring their vision to life. Currently, projects such as Project FARAH, the Baglietto T60 and T52 are under construction, reflecting this strong partnership and shared dedication to delivering exceptional yachts.

PROJECT FARAH

At 49.7 metres and just under the 500 GT threshold, Project Farah is a compelling example of intelligent yacht design where proportion, functionality and atmosphere work in complete harmony. Built by Baglietto, with exterior design by Fernando de Almeida Yacht Design and interiors developed in collaboration with Matheus Farah e Manoel Maia Arquitetura, the yacht was conceived around a clear philosophy: to translate the feeling of home into the nautical environment.
Rather than pursuing excess, Farah focuses on balance and spatial clarity. A symmetrical general arrangement enhances circulation and intuitive movement throughout the yacht, while also contributing to technical efficiency and weight distribution. The layout maximises every square metre, accommodating a remarkably generous program within 499 GT, including a beach-level pool, expansive social decks, a fully equipped gym with wellness facilities, and a large owner’s suite on the main deck.
The exterior lines are clean and essential, defined by a plumb bow, balanced volumes and a refined contrast between metallic grey hull and dark superstructure. Inside, the concept of “warm modernism” takes centre stage. Natural materials such as wood, leather, stone and brushed metals are layered in soft sand and bronze tones, creating an atmosphere that is minimalist yet welcoming. Indirect lighting, carefully integrated architectural detailing and thoughtful spatial flow reinforce the sense of calm sophistication.
Farah is not simply a 50-metre yacht, she is a study in restraint, intelligence and lifestyle-driven design, demonstrating how thoughtful architecture can elevate both experience and performance within a highly optimised platform.
