built to expedition standards rarely found in this size
Welcome on board GENE MACHINE
GENE MACHINE is a 55m full displacement motor yacht from Amels' Limited Editions range, delivered in 2013 and built to expedition standards rarely found in this size: Polar Code certified, with class current to the 2028 special survey cycle following her 10 year Lloyd's survey in 2022–23 and a 2025 propeller shaft bearing renewal. Twin MTU engines give her a range of 4,500nm at 13 knots, and naval architecture by Damen Yachting pairs with exterior design by Tim Heywood. This is a yacht built to go further than most.

Interior and accommodation
The interior is the work of Zurich based landscape architect Enzo Enea, a rare name in yacht design, blending natural and man made materials throughout. Teak decking, an integrated automation system by Praxis, and a Steinway grand piano complete an interior built for genuine daily living.
GENE MACHINE sleeps 12 guests across 5 staterooms, comprising a master suite with a king bed and four further guest cabins, each convertible between double and twin configuration, with one offering an additional pullman berth.
The owner's suite is a private retreat in itself, featuring a fall down balcony that opens the room to the sea air, alongside an internal jacuzzi for quiet moments away from the rest of the yacht.
